Glycerine - Michael Alford

These soaps are very creative right? Each of them has a chemical called glycerine, which is the stuff responsible for that feeling of smoothness that you have on your skin after you have used them (like when you use a bar of soap to wash your hands). It is also found in many other bathroom products, such as moisturizers, shampoos, toothpaste, mouthwash, and in some medicines like cough syrup. Bathroom products are the most popular products in finding this chemical, but here’s one of the more interesting uses, I don’t know if any of you still like to buy those little tubes of bubble blowing liquid, but this glycerine is very good in making this solution. When it comes to foods, it serves as a carbohydrate and a sweetener similar to sugar or Splenda, and also has the potential to be a good preservative. A good example of its uses in foods includes cookies.

What seems weird is that there are people who actually consume this chemical on its own as if it were a food product itself. Doctors say that it is safe to do this, but would you say the same if it can cause severe headaches, dizziness, thirst, and vomiting? If you say you would still do this, well then maybe this will change you mind, it can cause permanent damage to your red blood cells if it is injected. Do you still think it is safe?
